Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026
In short
  • We collect what we need to run your account and the Service, and nothing more.
  • We never see or store payment card numbers.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • For data about buyers in a seller’s conversion flow, the seller is responsible and we process it on their behalf.

This Privacy Policy explains how JDSQUID LLC (“JDSquid”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit our website, create an account or use the JDSquid service (the “Service”).

1. Who is responsible

JDSQUID LLC, 125 S King Street, Suite 2A, Jackson, WY 83001, United States, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at contact@jdsquid.com.

We will appoint a representative in the European Union under Article 27 of the GDPR before offering the Service to customers in the EU. In the meantime, EU residents can contact us at contact@jdsquid.com.

When a seller uses JDSquid to sell to you, the seller is the controller of your data as a buyer, and we process it on the seller’s behalf under our Data Processing Agreement. For questions about that data, contact the seller you bought from.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), company name, country.
  • Billing data: billing name and address, tax identification number, subscription and invoice history. Card details for your JDSquid subscription are collected and stored by our payment provider, not by us.
  • Usage data: log-in times, features used, actions in your dashboard, IP address, device and browser information.
  • Communications: messages you send to us and your email preferences.
  • Website data: pages visited and cookie data, as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use it, and our legal bases

  • To provide the Service and manage your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To bill your subscription and keep accounting records. Legal bases: contract and legal obligation.
  • To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To improve the Service, including our AI features, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To send service, billing and security messages. Legal bases: contract and legitimate interests.
  • To send product news and marketing. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. AI processing

Our AI features analyze activity in conversion flows, such as traffic source, device and the steps a visitor completed, to choose between options the seller has approved and to suggest copy.

They do not use payment card details or special categories of personal data, such as health, religion or ethnic origin. They do not change prices for individual buyers, and they do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on anyone.

5. Who we share data with

  • Service providers that host, operate or support the Service, bound by contract to protect the data: Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Amazon Web Services (email delivery), Anthropic (AI models), PostHog (website and product analytics) and Stripe (billing for JDSquid subscriptions).
  • The payment processors you connect, when you instruct us to.
  • Professional advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it.
  • A successor company, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, with the corresponding UK and Swiss addenda, or on another valid transfer mechanism.

7. How long we keep data

  • Account data: for as long as your account is open, then 30 days to let you export your content, after which it is deleted.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years.
  • Security logs: up to 12 months.
  • Marketing preferences: until you withdraw your consent.

8. Security

We protect personal data with encryption in transit (TLS), access controls based on least privilege, hashed passwords, monitoring and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Residents of some US states, such as California, also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of the sale or sharing of their data; we do neither.

To exercise your rights, email contact@jdsquid.com. We reply within one month and may need to verify your identity. If you are in the European Union, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes

We will publish any update on this page with a new date. If a change is material, we will also notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
